Child/Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry

Dr. Li is currently on faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine as Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychiatry and is Assistant Attending at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center for the Pediatric Consultation-Liaison / Emergency Psychiatry Service. She is also a board member of the New York Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Li graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and received her medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry residency at NYP-Weill Cornell Medical Center, as well as a psychoanalytic fellowship at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. 

Her interest in working with children and adolescents led her to receive subspecialty fellowship training at the combined program of Columbia and Cornell Universities. Prior to joining the Cornell faculty, Dr. Li served as Medical Director for the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Services at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Maine, overseeing the acute inpatient psychiatric care for youths ranging from 5-18 years of age.

Payment / Insurance

Dr. Li does not accept insurance. Initial consultation fee is $750 per hour. For initial consultation, adults require a minimum of 1 hour, and children/adolescents require a minimum of 2 hours. Follow up appointments take under an hour and cost $500.

Please review with your insurance plan to determine if you are eligible for out of network benefits. Dr. Li is an out of network provider and belongs to the Cornell Physician Organization – Psychiatry. Being an out of network provider gives Dr. Li the flexibility and time to be comprehensive in your care. Full payment is due at time of appointment. Dr. Li can provide properly coded receipts, but cannot be held responsible for any non-reimbursed fees.


 In an effort to provide better care, please give Dr. Li notice at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to make your appointment. Failure to cancel in advance will result in a cancellation fee of $100. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
